와! “룻: 마지막 때 몰약의 향” 얼마나 놀라운 제목인가? 성경은 몰약이라는 주제에 대해서 잠잠하지 않는다. 특히 하나님과의 친밀함과 신부의 마지막 때의 여정을 보여 주는 아가서의 신부는 그녀의 사랑하 는 자를 몰약 향낭처럼 품고 있으며(아 1:13), 자아 죽음의 몰약의 산과 중보의 유향의 산으로 가겠다고 결단을 한다(아 4:6). 이 책은 하나님과의 친밀함과 그분의 마지막 때의 계획이 서로 엮여져 있는 그림을 보여 준다. 이 책에서, 이스라엘 박은 룻기를 아가서와 연결지어 풀고 있다. 룻의 여정을 통해서, 그는 아가서에 반영된 예언적 여정을 묘사한다.

2023년 5월, “이사야 62장 글로벌 21일 금식성회”가 있었고 전 세계 에서 최소 500만 명이 마지막 때에 이스라엘을 위한 중보자로 서기로 헌신했다. 이것은 분명히 전 세계 많은 이스라엘의 중보자들이 일어나도록 하는 촉매제의 역할을 하게 될 것이다. 마지막 때 주님은 예루살렘이 회복될 때까지 잠잠치 아니하실 것이라고 말씀하셨다. “나는 시온의 의가 빛 같이, 예루살렘의 구원이 횃불 같이 나타나도록 시온 을 위하여 잠잠하지 아니하며 예루살렘을 위하여 쉬지 아니할 것인즉”(이사야 62:1). 그리고 주님은 이 일을 성취하시기 위해 주야로 주님으로 기억하시게 하는 자들을 찾으실 것이다. “예루살렘이여, 내가 너의 성벽 위에 파수꾼을 세우고 그들로 하여금 주야로 계속 잠잠하지 않게 하였느니라 너희 여호와로 기억하시게 하는 자들아 너희는 쉬지 말며 또 여호와께서 예루살렘을 세워 세상에서 찬송을 받게 하시기까지 그 로 쉬지 못하시게 하라” (이사야 62:6–7). 주님은 룻과 같은 사람들을 일으키실 것이다.

나는 2013년도부터 이스라엘 박 선교사와 그의 가족을 알고 지냈다. 그는 4년 동안 International House of Prayer University에서 마지막 때와 하나님과의 친밀함에 대해 공부했고, 3년간 “마지막 때 150장 성경연구센터(Center for Biblical End Time studies)”에서 소그룹 리더로 섬기며 하나님의 마지막 때의 나래티브를 사람들이 이해할 수 있도록 도왔다. 이스라엘 박 선교사는 한국 사역부의 리더십 팀에서 수년 간 충실히 섬겨왔다. 그는 10년 넘게 꾸준히 새벽 6시부터 정오까지 기도실을 지켜 왔으며 매주 금요일 새벽에 북한을 위한 중보를 신실하게 해오고 있으며, 오후에는 세 명의 아이들을 기도실에 데려와 제자 양육을 하고있다. 그의 아내인 Joy는 2004년부터 공동체에 소속되어 있었다. 그녀는 열방기도실(All Nations Prayer Room) 한국어 세트 예배인도자와 통번역 팀장으로 섬기고 있으며 기도운동에 헌신되어 있다. 또 이스라엘과 조이 박 선교사 부부가 기도운동 안에서 세 명의 아들들을 키우며 몰약 같은 삶을 추구하는 것을 보는 것은 내게 큰 기쁨이다.

그의 책은 마지막 때 이스라엘을 위해 기도하는 중보자에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 수백만 명의 중보자들이 열방에서 일어나는 ‘몰약의 큰 향’이 될 것이다. 나는 많은 사람들이 이 책을 읽고 영감을 받을것이라고 믿는다. 이 글을 쓰고 있는 지금, 지난해 10월에 시작된 이스라엘과 하마스 간의 전쟁이 거의 120일째 접어들고 있다. 주님의 재림이 다가 올수록 이스라엘에 대한 열방의 공격은 더욱 거세질 것이다. 그러나 룻처럼 하나님께서는 이스라엘을 위해 마지막 때에 이방인 중보자들을 일으키실 것이다. 그들은 마음을 다해 예수님을 사랑하고 이스라엘의 구원과 예루살렘을 향한 그분의 영원한 목적을 위해 그분의 열심에 신실하게 함께 할 사람들이 될 것이다(스가랴 8:1-3).

Wow! "Ruth: The Fragrance of Myrrh in the End Times" – what an amazing title. The Bible is not silent on the subject of myrrh. In particular, the bride in the Song of Songs, a symbolic depiction of intimacy with God and the Bride’s end-time journey, holds her Beloved like a myrrh sachet (Song 1:13) and is determined to go to the mountain of myrrh of self-death and the mountain of frankincense of intercession (Song 4:6). This book give a picture, intertwining intimacy with God and His end time plans. In this book, Israel Park draws a connection between Ruth and the Song of Songs. Through Ruth's experiences, he describes prophetic journey that is mirrored in the Song of Songs.

In May 2023, the "Isaiah 62 Global 21-Day Fast," at least 5 million people worldwide committed to interceding for Israel in the end times. This event is bound to serve as a catalyst for many intercessors for Israel globally. The Lord, in the end times, declares that He will not sleep until Jerusalem is restored: "For I will not slumber for Zion, nor rest for Jerusalem, that her righteousness may go forth like a light, and her salvation like a torch" (Isaiah 62:1). The Lord will seek those who remember Him as Lord day and night to fulfill this work: "I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem, and have caused them to keep watch day and night, that they may not slumber; and you, O Jerusalem, who remember the LORD, shall not rest until the LORD has established Jerusalem, that she may be praised in the world" (Isaiah 62:6-7). He will raise up those like Ruth.

I have known Israel Park and his family since 2013. He studied end times and intimacy with God at IHOPU for four years, and serving as a small group leader at the "Center for Biblical End Time Studies" for three years, to help people understand God's end-time narrative. Israel Park has faithfully served for many years in the leadership team of the Korean ministry. For over 10 years, he has kept the prayer room from 6 a.m. to noon, faithfully interceding for North Korea every Friday at 6 a.m. set. In the afternoon, he brings his three children to the prayer room for discipleship. His wife, Joy, has been part of the community since 2004. She serves as a worship leader in the All Nations Prayer Room and also holds the role of a translation team leader, fully dedicated to the prayer movement.
It brings me great joy to see Israel and Joy Park pursue a myrrh-like life while raising their three sons in the prayer movement. His book focuses on intercessors standing for Israel in the end times. Millions of intercessors will, like myrrh, become a 'great incense' arising from the nations. I believe that many will be inspired by reading this book. As I write this, we are almost 120 days into the war between Israel and Hamas, which began last October. As the Lord's return approaches, the attacks of the nations against Israel will only intensify. Yet, much like Ruth, God will raise up end-time Gentile intercessors for Israel. Those who will love Jesus with all of their heart and who will stand faithfully with Him in His zeal for the salvation of Israel and His eternal purposes for Jerusalem (Zech. 8:1-3).
